In NaNoLand, $10 single-handedly powers all five servers for the Young Writers Program and main site for six hours in November. Our Cherished Friends receive a donor halo on their NaNoWriMo profile, and will have their name posted on our Brought to You By page. (Anonymous donations are also cheerfully accepted!)

Extraordinary Helpers

Our Extraordinary Helpers are the small, mighty engines who power our bookish mission. A $25 donation pays for us to adopt two classrooms taking part in NaNoWriMo's Young Writers Program, underwriting the costs of sending goodie-packed classroom kits that will inspire and encourage 70 budding authors.

Extraordinary Helpers receive a donor halo on their NaNoWriMo profile, along with exciting still-to-be-decided donor thank-you gifts. The halo will be placed and gifts mailed when the site relaunches in October, 2008.

$50 NaNoWriMo Donation

Hello! Chris from NaNoWriMo here. You're likely in this donation area because you saw our $50 NaNoWriMo vintage sticker pack call-out in the NaNo email. The stickers, I'm sad to say, all went in about eight hours.

I know. I weep too. I had hoped to be able to give those stickers to my grandchildren someday. But here's the thing: The old stickers may be gone, but we still need help empowering our servers to be as fast as they possibly can be. From now until July 14, all the money we raise---through this or any donation on the site---will go towards adding more server firepower for the fall.

Please consider chipping in now, so we can invest in making the site great for our 10th anniversary year. Mighty Catalysts for Literary Righteousness

A $250 donation pays for us to organize 50 inspiring talks by Municipal Liaisons at schools taking part in NaNoWriMo's Young Writers Program, or covers the whole cost of creating the coveted 2007 Winner's Certificate that over 15,000 authors will download with pride and slightly misty eyes this November.

NaNoWriMo Superheroes

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a kind-hearted donor whose contribution makes tens of thousands of people around the world realize that they have a story worth telling and the perfect voice to tell it. A $500 donation covers rent on our office for almost an entire month, or underwrites the whole cost of our AlphaSmart lending library, which puts laptop-like word processors in the eager hands of an entire Young Writers Program classroom, and in the homes of 25 computerless adult Wrimos.

Bringers of Life, Movers of Mountains, Shapers of Worlds

These are the titans of the NaNoWriMo donor universe, and we tremble at their comings and goings. But in a good way. A $1000 donation pays to create four weeks of lesson plans, activities, and exercises about novel-writing for elementary school students.

$1000 donors receive a donor halo on their NaNoWriMo profile, along with exciting still-to-be-decided donor thank-you gifts. The halo will be placed and gifts listed and mailed when the site relaunches in October, 2008.

NaNoWriMo-Happily-Ever-Afters

First, the whole staff weeps with joy for a week. Then we take your gift and forever change the world with it. We're talking two months of email, forums, and phone support to the teachers, librarians, and students at the 500 schools that will be taking part in our Young Writers Program this year.

$2500 donors receive a donor halo on their NaNoWriMo profile and an exciting and still-to-be decided thank-you gift package. The halo will be placed and package listed and mailed when the site relaunches in October, 2008.
